Asa Edwin 6 BIGELOW

15196.4    Asa Edwin 6 BIGELOW, son of William 5 ( Jotham 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Damaris (HAPGOOD ) BIGELOW, was born 21 January 1790 at Guilford, Windham co, VT. He married, on 26 January 1818 at Colrain, MA, Eliza Browning. According to Howe's Bigelow genealogy, she was of North Adams, MA, and they lived at one time in Greenbush, NY. They had a family, of whom there is little information:

I am the city historian for the City of Rensselaer. I am looking for information on Asa Bigelow who ran a tavern in the years before the Civil War in Bath on the Hudson, Rensselaer Co.  Does anyone have information on him? Was he involved with the underground railroad as were a number of Bigelows in Rensselaer and AlbanyCo in NY? thank you
