Henry ⁷ BIGELOW

16921.43     Henry ⁷ BIGELOW, son of Lewis ⁶ ( David ⁵( David ⁴, Daniel ³, Joshua ², John ¹) and Sophia (STOWELL) BIGELOW, was born at Worcester, Worcester, MA on 20 May 1817 and married in Boston on 25 August 1840 Mathilda A. Poole. She was the daughter of Lott and Lydia (Marker) Poole and horn at Charleston, MA on 14 April 1818. He was a physician. They lived in Newton, MA for many years and he died there on 21 January 1866. Bigelow Chapel, in Newton, was erected in his honor. For his great work in education, the school children of Newton erected a monument in appreciation. His widow died in Newton on 19 February 1892.
