1) and Amanda (SMITH) BIGELOW, was born at Keene,
NH on 21 January 1834 and married Maria Crabtree in May 1855. He was connected
with the watch factory at Waltham, MA for many years and was one of the
first seven men to go to Elgin, IL to start the watch business in that
town. In 1874, he moved to San Francisco. She died in 1879. No additional
research has been done.
