was born 06 November 1791 at Chester, Hampden county, MA. He was married
23 September 1817 at Spencer, MA to Eliza (Spencer) Garfield, born _ April
1793. They lived at Spencer, where town records note that "Daniel Royal Garfield,
son of John and Eliza Bigelow, was born 31 January 1815 at Stafford, CT";
this was Eliza's son by her first marriage. John died 1870 at Spencer, Worcester
county, MA, and Eliza in 1873, also at Spencer.
Their two daughters were born at Spencer, Worcester county, MA:

Sep 1818; d 1868; m 01 June 1843 Austin Newcomb. 2 children.
14261.22t Eliza Jane, b _ Oct 1830; m (1) 22 Oct
1846 Levi Dean of Oakham who died 1869; (2) Archibald Udall of Manhasset,
Long Island, NY. 2 children.
