14261.62    Jonas Augustus 7 BIGELOW, son of Nathan 6 ( John 5 , Joseph 4, Daniel 3, Daniel 2, John 1), and Prudence (HATHAWAY) BIGELOW, was born, a twin, 03 July 1836, Millport, OH. He married on __ September 1867 Margaret Shirey, daughter of Lewis and Jane (Cryden) Shirey, of Groveport. Jonas served in the Civil War: 6th Regt., U. S. Calvary, for 3 years. Then he re-enlisted in a Regt. of Ohio infantry and served to the close of the war, but was taken prisoner in PA. He was soon exchanged and later served under Gen. Sherman in his "March to the Sea". They resided in Groveport, OH where he died 20 June 1877.
