15198.13    Jotham Richardson 7 BIGELOW, son of Abel 6 ( Josiah 5 , Jotham 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Sarah (CLARK) BIGELOW, was born at Manlius, Onondaga co, NY 07 February 1807/8. He married on 23 October 1835 at Batavia, Genessee co, NY Esther Susan Montague, daughter of Elijah and Esther (McElwin) Montague, born at Batavia 18 April 1817. Jotham was a farmer and died 27 January 18762 (aged 68) at Williamston, Ingham, MI. His widow died on 04 December 1882 (aged 63) at Williamston. They had three sons that served in the Civil War and this family lived in Oakland county, MI until 1874.

Esther  ester big mem
Photo believed to be Esther Susan (Montague) Bigelow (Mrs. Jotham R. Bigelow),
but is labeled erroneously as "Mrs. Esther McElwain Bigelow" (no such person existed),
and could not be Susan's mother Esther (McElwain) Montague, as photography didn't exist until after her death...
