dau of James 6 ( James 5 , James 4 , Jonathan 3 , Joshua 2, John
1), and Betsy (DAVIS) BIGELOW, was born at Skowhegan,
Somerset, ME on 05 May 1801. Just short of her 26th birthday, she married
Joseph Merrill on ______ March 1827. He was the son of Levi Janus and Betsy
(Steward) Merrill and born in 1801. She had 2 children by Joseph and after
she died, he married Sarah Jane Butler by whom he had 8 more children. Mary
had died on 19 January 1830 at St. Albans, ME.
