Sutton, Worcester, MA on 20 February 1825. His marriage was to Mary J.
Holliday who was the daughter of Angus McDonald Holliday of Shelbyville,
MO on 05 February 1852 in Washington county, OH. She was born in Shelbyville
in 1832 and died in Fairfield, IA in 1891. Samuel was a manufacturer of
boots, shoes and leather goods from 1858 to 1890. In 1844, Samuel went
into Washington county, OH and then Fairfield, IA. Samuel was also alderman,
and city clerk.
