Silas ⁸ BIGELOW

16228.313 Silas ⁸BIGELOW, son of Hiram ⁷ ( Joel ⁶, Joel ⁵, Benjamin ⁴, Jonathan ³, Joshua², John¹) and Mary (ARMSTRONG) BIGELOW, was born at Tecumseh, Ontario on 22 Nov 1830 and married 31 Jan 1863 Lydia Jane Bateman. She was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Penrose) Bateman and born in Mariposa, Ontario on 3 Feb 1843. She died in Lindsay, Ontario on 12 Mar 1881. Some time after his father's death, Silas and his brother Obadiah formed a
partnership to continue their father's general mercantile business and continued for 30 years when they both retired. Lydia died at Lindsay on 12 Mar 1881 and he there on 7 March 1895.

16228.3134 Frederick Egbert, was born 27 Apr 1870 at Lindsay, Victoria co., Ont., Canada. In 1895, he was a medical
student in Chicago, IL. Death data unknown.
