Gray Snapper
This is a young gray snapper about 8 inches. Photo by Rod 25 Feb 04 in about 12 feet water.
Location was offshore at Cannon Beach; Pennekamp Park.

Lutjanus griseus
Body objong, relatively deep, and moderately compressed. Back and upper side grayish; lower side often has reddish tinge.
Young have dark band from snout through eye to upper opercle, and blue line below eye. ( noticable in photo above)
