Asa ⁶ BIGELOW

16355.4   Asa ⁶ BIGELOW, son of Otis ⁵ ( Asa ⁴, Lieut. John ³, Joshua ², John ¹) , and Betsey (BARTLETT) BIGELOW, was born 26 May 1783 at Lebanon, New London county, CT. He married, on 05 November 1832 at Canaan, CT, Phebe Lawrence. She died before 1850. At one time they lived at Tyringham, MA. In 1850 Asa's brother Amasa 16355.8 and two children of their brother Harvey Bigelow-16355.5 were living with Asa. He had no issue, and died 02 July 1867 Lebanon, CT (see below) .

Comments:  Have been reseaching the history of our house which apparently belonged to and was built by Asa Bigelow, son of Otis Bigelow. He lived here with his Brother Amasa and his sister Betsy from about 1840-1868. ASa and his two siblings all died here. The house and property was then willed to his neice Betsy Bigelow Taylor of Colchester, CT. Can give more information to anyone interested in this piece of Bigelow Heritage.
