Ebenezer William ⁷ BIGELOW

15336.54 Ebenezer William ⁷ BIGELOW, son of Cornelius ⁶ ( Paul ⁵, Cornelius ⁴, Samuel ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Persis (HARRIS) BIGELOW, was born in 1801 near Townsend, Windham, VT according to an entry in his youngest son's prayerbook. He went into Canada with his parents while an infant and remained in Quebec all of his life. He married on 14 August 1827 Ellen Blair. She was of Irish extraction and born 02 August 1802. Ebenezer, a farmer, died 23 September 1859 in Chatham township. She continued to homestead her small acreage with the help of her family. She died 29 June 1901. Ebenezer is buried in Cushing Methodist cemetery and Ellen in Calumet Protestant. Her headstone indicates she was "aged 98 years 10 months, 27 days". No headstone can be found for Ebenezer.
