Rebecca 5 BIGELOW


14243.    Rebecca 5 BIGELOW, daughter of Daniel 4 (Daniel 3,Daniel2, John1) and Martha (PRATT) BIGELOW , was born 14 Oct 1760 in Framingham, Middlesex county, MA. The family removed to Keene, NH, and she was married there on 20 Jan 1791 to Nathaniel KINGSBURY, his third wife. Nathaniel, son of Daniel and Beriah (MANN) KINGSBURY, was born 18 Feb 1739. He had married (1) 25 Apr 1765 (at Wrentham, MA) Mehitable JOHNSON, who died leaving one child, and (2)11 Feb 1769, also at Wrentham, Hannah WARE, by whom six children. Nathaniel was a Private in Capt. Davis Howlen's Co. in the Revolution, and had served at Ticonderoga. He died 26 Jan 1803 at Keene. Rebecca survived until 17 Mar 1824.

14243.2    Samuel Kingsbury, b 24 Jan 1794; d ____ ; m Sally WILLSON.

14243.3    Cyrus Kingsbury, b 12 Jan 1798 (1799?); d ____ ; m (1) 1825 Rachel OLCOTT; (2) 1846 Olive WILEY.

I wonder why Cyrus Kingsbury, son of Rebecca is not listed in Bigelow
records.  He was born in Keene in 1799.  He has many descendants.

Daniel 4 BIGELOW, was born Framingham, Middlesex co, MA 16 July 1732. He married on 20 Mar 1754 Martha PRATT. Martha, his wife, daughter of Daniel and Eliza (RICE) PRATT, was born Framingham 15 Dec 1728. They lived on the old homestead where his grandfather settled for many years. He served in Capt. Henry EAMES' co in 1757. It is thought that he accompanied his children in their move to Fitzwilliam, NH, for Daniel and Martha were admitted to the church there 31 Mar 1782. Daniel BIGELOW was taxed in Fitzwilliam from 1782 until and including 1799, after which we have no further record of him. His widow died in Keene, NH 1 Nov 1820, aged 91 years, 10 months.

 Children of Daniel and Martha (PRATT) BIGELOW, all born Framingham, MA:

14241     Amos, b 15 Sept 1755; d Amherst, MA circa 1812; m Feb 1784 Anne BROWN; res Amherst; 3 known sons ( Amherst records to 1820 destroyed by fire.)

14242     Daniel, b 14 June 1758; d Woburn, MA 24 Oct 1823; m _ Mar 1783 Elizabeth GALLOT; he served in Rev War, and afterwards moved to Keene, NH, but left his family and returned to MA; Widow claimed pension; 6 children.

14243     Rebecca, b 14 Oct 1760; d Keene, NH 17 Mar 1824; m 20 Jan 1791 Nathaniel KINGSBURY, his 3rd wife ( he was a Rev War soldier); res Keene; Rebecca had 3 children.

14244     Mitty, or Submit, b 6 Dec 1762.

14245     Martha, b 27 Aug 1765.

14246     Thomas, b 28 Apr 1768; d Castleton, VT ca 1826; m 28 mar 1793 (Royalston, MA) Hannah LEWIS; res Fitzwilliam & Keene, NH; also Pittsford, Hubbardston, and Castleton, VT. 10 children.

14247     Anna, b 26 June 1771.
