Tamzin (Tamson) 7 BIGELOW



16225.11      Tamzin (Tamson) 7 BIGELOW, dau of Zenas 6 (Solomon 5 , Benjamin 4 , Jonathan 3 , Joshua 2, John 1), and Mary (KELSEY) BIGELOW, was born at Salisbury, Addison, VT on 17 March 1791. She was a mere child when her family moved to NY and there, at Batavia, Genesee, NY and on 16 May 1816 she married Asa Houghton. He was the son of Nehemiah and Lydia (Dodge) Houghton and born at Vernon, Windham, VT on 0l September 1795. Tamzin died on 17 September 1829 at Batavia, shortly after the birth of her last child. Asa remarried and had further issue. In his later years, Asa followed his children into OH and died on 10 September 1875 at Wellington, Lorain, OH.

16225.115     Mary M., b 05 March 1825; d 22 April 1910 Shelby, Oceana, MI; m 06 May 1847 Rev. George H. Norton. (see below)

16225.116     Alta M., b 12 Aug 1827; d 23 July 1906 Huntington, OH; m 08 Aug 1847 Benjamin Pratt.

16225.117     Zenas, b 06 May 1829; d 27 Sept 1829.

I see that you have no information listed on George H. Norton. Should you be interested, I have information that links him back to one of the old Virginia families and also have just received a manuscript that describes the move/journey to New York by his father, George Hatley
