Rod,
No problem with publishing my phone number. Re scan of Ephraim Washburn
portrait, we've never taken a photo.  The portrait is at a restorer's
shop,
and when it's returned, I'll make a photo and send it to you.

I came across your info on Martha last fall. On #16228.43 - Fanna Fisk
-
You have a death date of 02/17/1866, according to the print out I got
from Schroon,NY her death date was 02/07/1866. I was wondering your
source, so I can double check that one and these records from Schroon.
They also list her place of birth as Whiting,VT. You have her married
to
a Seelacius. All records I have, have his named spelled Selucius. You
have him as the son of Elisha. Records I have, have him listed as the
son of Elijah. My interest in all this, is that it seems this Elijah
is
my G.G.G.G. Grandfatther. And after running into a few brick walls, I
decided to try going down some of the spouses lines to see if I could
find out anything more.
#16228.46 - Ansel - is that a male or a female?
#16228.4D - Stephen Bateman - how does he fit into all of this?

Now in regards to Mercy Bigelow....... I too had her as a daughter of
Joshua Bigelow and Elizabeth Flagg. Where does Bond correct himself?
Also I was wondering about this Howe error.

I would REALLY appreciate any info you have or come across on the
Garfields, ESPECIALLY ELIJAH. It seems according to all the records I
have read that he originally moves to Schroon with out any family,
then
two sons join him in 1806 at young ages, but there is no mention of
his
wife coming or being buried there or of his son Caleb C. Garfield, my
G.G.G. Grandfather, ever going there. After calling and writing to
everyone I can think of in NY and VT, I still have not come across any
real info on either one of them. So I would really appreciate any help
you may offer on those two.
Sincerely, Christine

Dear Sir; I need your help-I think! I've been tracing background for a print; copywrited by Brown and Bigelow -1921.It looks
very much like a Parrish print-it
It is entitled "Winona". On bottom L- it has printed "22662 from painting by Aruther".
Can you give me any information? Or possibly direct me to someone who could act as an historian for Brown & Bigelow?
Thank you so more for any assistance you are willing to give me-
Sincerely yours, Charlene Geller

 Dear sir,
Yikes! It was with great surprise that I happened across your page and the "Bigelow Society," which contained your fascinating theory
that all of us with the Bigelow name in North America are descended from a single man. Quite interesting!
I do have to wonder if my own family may be the exception, however. My family has its roots in northeastern Pennsylvania,
specifically in the coal-mining region around Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton. From what little I know (and it is shamefully little, indeed) they
began as coal miners, eventually working their way up into the law industry. My grandfather Richard L. Bigelow (son of Richard L. Bigelow, the "L" in
all cases stands for "Lynn") was a judge in Luzerne County, one of the few from Hazleton.
I don't know if there is any information on us in your vast files. Most of the men in the family are names either Richard or John (big help,
I know) and the unique name of "Lynn" pops up quite a bit.
I myself settle in Enfield, CT. To my delight, I live in the old Bigelow-Hartford carpet company factory, which has been renamed Bigelow
Commons. Until now, though, I professed no relation to the place's namesake.
I am pleased to make your aquaintance, and I look forward to any scraps of information you might send along.
Sincerely Yours,
Christopher R. Bigelow

Hi Rod, this is your cousin through Patience Bigelow.  I was looking through
your site this weekend, there's a lot of new stuff in there since I really
dug around in it.  I have a question:  in the Baguley Family Page 5, there is
a disclaimer that some of it is unresearched.  I saw on the Baguley History
page the line from John to the people at Ollerton Hall.  Is this accurate, to
the best of your knowledge?  That chart that was drawn makes me think it's
been researched.  The Lucy Corona, daughter of Edward I, where did that info
come from?  I can't find her listed even in the info that mentions
illegitimate children.  I tried the links on the Baguley History page but
they didn't take me anywhere.  Either the server was busy or they no longer
are valid links.  I really appreciate your help.  Your website has so much
great stuff in it!  Thanks a lot!  Mary Ellen in Memphis

Hi Rod.  I was just looking at the information posted for my line, and you
have an old e-mail address--it should be mmayn93990@aol.com, not the prodigy
account.

Also, I understand that you know my cousin Jeff Slack and his wife Martha.
It's a small world.               Mary

Don, I didn't know the historian was from the Tampa Bay area. I
would be happy to share any records I have, that she doesn't, with
her. I descend from John 1--through Joshua 2, Joshua 3,
John 4, Nathan 5, Joseph 6, John 7, William 8, who married an Irish
Catholic, Alice Maginn in Port Henry, Essex, NY and was disowned by
the family, so he changed the spelling to Bigalow, Frank (Francis
Edgar) 9, Georgeanne 10, married John Grant Slack, my parents.

People will accept your ideas much more readily if you tell them that
Benjamin Franklin said it first.
Thank you St. Jude and St. Therese, the Little Flower, for favors received.

Incidentally it is nice to hear from a distant relative.  My mother
was a Bigelow.  Her great-grandfather sailed his own ship from Pugwash, Nova
Scotia, to Auckland, NZ about 1850.

Searching your website on the internet was how we got your address.
Thanks for the information.
