Joseph ⁷ BIGELOW

1592C.83 Joseph ⁷, BIGELOW, son of Isaac ⁶ ( Amasa ⁵, Isaac ⁴, Isaac ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Lavinia (LOOMER) BIGELOW, was born at Cornwallis, NS circa 1825 (as 35 on 1860 census). His wife, Hannah Rose Sweet, was the daughter of Benjamin and Hannah ( __ ) Sweet and was age 34 on 1860 census, birth state not given. Their marriage was on 15 June 1845 at Milwaukee, WI. Joseph was a carpenter, (1860). His death date is confusing as one source states it to be 1856 in CA, but he is listed on census records as late as 1870 in Tillamock, OR, but not after that. Family records state he died in Lafayette, OR. The death date of his wife is even more challenging as it is stated she died "soon after her father's 1856 death", but she is listed on 1860 census of Chilton, Calumet co., WI. Family tradition states she died shortly after Joseph's death, but we fail to find her on any census after 1860. This family was in Richmond, Welworth co., WI in 1850, Chilton, Calumet, WI in 1860 and Joseph, listed alone, at Tillamock, OR in 1870.

1592C.835 Charles, b______ d ; "a noted scout who hunted the James boys" - (?).

Possibly other children: Loomer genealogy says "had children buried Woodworth cemetery", but doesn't state where this is.
