15146.312     Alice C. 8 BIGELOW, dau of Nicholas Curtis 7 ( Nathan 6 , Nathan 5, John 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1), and Ann (CLARK) BIGELOW, was born 07 December 1853 Peru, Clinton co, NY. She married on 22 March 1876 Schuyler H. Clark. Schuyler was the son of Datus Ensign and Nancy Elizabeth (Thew) Clark. He was born 27 April 1851 in Peru, NY, and died 04 April 1921. Alice died 17 May 1924 in Peru. Both are buried in Gods Acres Cemetery, Peru, NY.

412. Schuyler H. (6) Clark (Nancy Elizabeth 5, John S.4, Garret 3, John 2, John 1 Thew) was b. 27 Apr 1851 in Peru, Clinton co., NY. He was the son of Nancy Elizabeth Thew and Datus Ensign Clark. Schuyler was listed with his parents on the 1860 and 1870 census in the Town of Peru, Clinton co, NY. Schuyler m. 22 Mar 1876 to Alice C. Bigelow, the daughter of Nicholas C. and Ann E. Bigelow. She was b. 07 Dec 1853
Alice appears on the 1860 and 1870 census with her parents in the Town of Peru, Clinton Co., NY.12 Schuyler H. (29), his wife Alice B. (26) and son Fred B. (2) were residing in Peru on the 1880 census.   Schuyler was a farmer.The 1900 Peru census lists Schuyler (49), Alice B. (47) and sons Floyd (17) and Ross E. (9).   The 1902 probate records for John S. Thew (Jr.) list Schuyler Clark of Peru as the child of his deceased half-sister Nancy. Schuyler H. (59), Alice B. (56) Ross (19) were living in Peru, NY 1910 census. The 1920 census lists Schuyler (68), Alice (66) and widowed son Ross (29) still residing in Peru, NY. Schuyler d. 04 Apr 1921 and Alice d. 17 May 1924. Both were buried in the God's Acres Cemetery at Peru, NY.

Frederick/Fred Bigelow (7) Clark (Schuyler H.6 Clark, Nancy Elizabeth 5, John S.4, Garret 3, John 2, John1 Thew) was b. 27 Jan 1878 in Peru, Clinton Co., NY.(1539; 1540)  He was the son of Schuyler H. Clark and Alice E. Bigelow.(1541; 1542) Fred B. (2) appears with his parents on the 1880 census in Peru, Clinton Co., NY. (1543) Frederick m. 10 Apr 1901 to Edith Jessie Fenner.1544; 1545) Edith was b. ca. 1881 in Brighton, England the daughter of George Lansdale Fennor and Ellen Palmer.(1546) She came to the United States in 1885. The 1910 census reports Frederick B. (31), wife Edith J. (28), daughter Alice B. (8) and son Fred F. (7) living in Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY. Frederick was a timekeeper for a steamship company.(1547) Fred Bigelow Clark's WWI Registration Card issued in Brooklyn, NY reports wife Edith as his closest relative. He was a Port Steward for the Am. Hawaiian S.S. Co. located in New York City, NY. Floyd was tall and of slender build with grey eyes and brown hair.(1548) Frederick B. (41), Edith (40), Alice B. (18) and Frederick F. (16) were still residing in Brooklyn, NY on the 1920 census. The census indicates Frederick was a steward for a steamship company and wife Edith had become a naturalized citizen in 1889.(1549) By 1930, Fred (51) and Edith (48) had moved to North Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY.   Living with them was Edith's sister Winifred (46) Fenner. Fred was a salesman in a grocery store.(1550)
Fred B. d. 13 Oct 1950 (1551) and Edith d. 1971.  They were buried in the Clark plot in
God's Acre Cemetery, Peru, Clinton Co., NY.(1552)

957. Herbert Floyd (7) Clark (Schuyler H.6 Clark, Nancy Elizabeth 5, John S.4, Garret 3, John 2, John 1 Thew) was b. 24 June 1882 in Peru, Clinton Co., NY.(1553 1554) He was the son of Schuyler H. Clark and Alice E. Bigelow.(1555) Floyd appears with his parents on the 1900 census in Peru, Clinton Co., NY.(1556) He m. 28 June 1905 to Katherine Phillips.(1557) The 1910 census lists H. Floyd (27) and wife Katherine (22) residing in Peru, NY. Floyd was a manufacturer of wagons.(1558) ! Herbert's WWI Registration Card dated 12 Sep 1918 in Clinton Co., NY reports wife Katherine as his closest relative. He was a self-employed wheelwright living in Peru, NY. Floyd was of medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair.(1559) Floyd (40) and Katherine (40) had an adopted son named Kenneth (8) on the 1920 Peru, NY census.(1560) By 1930, H. Floyd (47), Katherine (43) and Kenneth (19) had moved to Miami, Dade Co., FL. Floyd's occupation was an auto painter.(1561)

Herbert d. 01 Aug 1970 and Katherine d. 24 Dec 1973. (1562 1563)
Both were buried in God's Acre Cemetery, Peru, Clinton Co., NY.

958. Ross Edwin (7) Clark  (Schuyler H.6 Clark, Nancy Elizabeth 5, John S. 4, Garret 3, John 2, John 1 Thew) was born 03 Dec 1890 in Peru, Clinton Co., NY (1564). He was the son of Schuyler H. Clark and Alice E. Bigelow. (1565) Ross appears with his parents on the 1900 and 1910 census in Peru, Clinton Co., NY.(1566; 1567) He m. (1st) 24 Feb 1914 (1568) to Ethel L. Gordon at Peru, NY. Ethel was b. ca. 1893 in AuSable, NY the daughter of Robert Gordon and Alice Patterson.(1569; 1570)  Ethel G. Clark d. 10 Feb 1915 of childbirth complications at Peru, NY.   She was buried in God's Acre Cemetery. (1571;1572) Ross E.'s WWI Registration Card dated 05 June 1917 in Plattsburgh, Clinton Co., NY reports him as being single and a farmer. He was tall and of medium build with blue eyes and brown hair.(1573) The 1920 census indicates Ross E. (29) was widowed and staying with his parents.(1574) Ross m. (2nd) 03 Mar 1920/1 to Cara Irene Nichols at Plattsburgh, Clinton Co., NY.   His brother H. Floyd and his wife were their witnesses. Cara was b. 14 Aug 1899 in Vermont the daughter of Alvah H. Nichols and Eunice Bassett. (1575 ;1576;1577) Second wife Cara had a serious heart condition. She was in such a weakened state that Ross had to carry her around the house for about the last ten years of their marriage. The 1930 census lists Ross E. (39) and wife Cara I. (31) living in Peru, NY.(1578) Cara I. Clark d. 31 Dec 1938 in Peru, NY and was buried in God's Acre Cemetery.(1579 1578)
   Ross m. (3rd) 25 Oct 1940 (1581) to Ruth Finney Cromie at Peru, NY. Ruth had m. 1st Gordon Cromie. Their daughter Barbara married Lester Edward Thew. Ruth d. 24 June 1992 at the Clark home (where granddaughter Patti Hamilton now lives) located on the Mannix Road in Peru. Ruth was buried in the Clark plot at God's Acre Cemetery. Ross d. 30 Mar 1961 at Physician's Hospital, Plattsburgh, NY due to a heart condition. He was buried in the Clark plot at God's Acre Cemetery where his 3 wives were buried.(1582;1583)
