Charles Reuben 8 BIGELOW



1592C.433      Charles Reuben 8 BIGELOW, son of  Charles Skinner 7 ( Reuben 6 , Amasa 5 , Isaac 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John1)  and Tryphena (MARSTERS) BIGELOW, was born at Antigonish, NS on 06 July 1853.  On 18 February 1880 he married Theresa Gottschaly at Brooklyn, NY the daughter of William Gottschaly.  She was born 05 November 1853 in Saxony, Germany.  Charles was a machinery broker by trade and this family resided in Brooklyn where he died on 16 October 1899.  She died 20 June 1949 Brooklyn, a widow for 50 years.

1592C.4334     Stella Theresa, b 17 Mar 1888 Brooklyn; d 17 Sept 1976 Cincinnati, Hamilton co, OH; unmarried (office manager for Phoenix Ins. in Brooklyn)(see stone)

                        My father, Rev. Harry L. Bigelow, gave the invocation at a reunion
                        in Hiram Ohio some years ago. His grandfather, Charles Reuben
                        Bigelow, came from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to Brooklyn, in the
                        very early 1900s.
