In relation to your email and New Jersey page on the bigelowsociety website.  I thought you may be able to use this information about the New Jersey Bigelows more than I have been able to.  (I'm not retired yet, so a bit too busy raising a family to devote a lot of time to genealogy. (though I've been trying for years!))
If I understood the page correctly, it looks like Mr. Barbour's email references records from Butler County, Ohio that have a Sarah Bigelow marrying a Samuel Cobb.  My father finally went thru all the papers he inherited from his father and scanned them to the computer to send to me.  While reading through them, my great-grandfather (John Walker Bigalow II) mentions that his grandfather's dad was killed during the War of 1812 and his grandfather's mother then married a man named Cobb.  John W Bigalow kept meticulous records, down to how much milk each cow gave every month, how much fuel and oil he used, what he planted in the garden, which relatives died or visited, etc.
Let me back up a bit and give the names and dates that we have.  Maybe you can make more sense of it or fit it together with something else.

My great-grandfather:
John Walker Bigalow II b. Aug 1884 NE, d. Dec 1973 KS.  m. June 1915 to Mary Emmeline McBratney (1880-1933) (m 2nd June 1940 to Erma G Weyer 1903-1984)  He was the oldest of 4 children.
His parents:
James Franklin Bigalow I b. Jan 1851 NJ, d. Dec 1934 CA. m. Oct 1882 to Ada Sigler (1846-1890) (m 2nd Aug 1891 to Susan King Dickerson (1844-1921)  He was the sixth of seven children.
His parents:
John Walker Bigalow I b. 1811 NJ (or poss NY), d. Dec 1891 NJ. m. July 1836 to Elizabeth Lyon (1810-1894)  He is the one whom John mentions his step-father being a man named Cobb after his father died.  He and Elizabeth had seven children (that I'm aware of)- Janet, Jonathan, Susanna, Milton, Daniel, James, and George.
I'm attaching a chart of these NJ Bigalows I put together from the census records and such. (I'm sure you have all this info and more, but figured I might as well so it's all together in this email.)  Also, John W Bigalow's notes that pertain to his grandfather.
Thank you for any time you take to read this.  I have been looking into family history for about 12 years, but as I said, it's off and on and I don't subscribe to any paid sites, so I'm certain you all are much more informed than I.  Maybe I'm passing on already known info; or maybe it's not official enough to do anything with, but never know unless I ask, right?
Steph
