(STOUT) BIGELOW, was born at Orleans, Ontario, NY 22 November 1836 and
married on 31 July 1870 Philena E. Johnson. Served in 102 Regt., NY
Vols., 1862 was 2nd Lt., but was honorably discharged one month later due
to illness of father and need to care for family business; in 1864 he re-enlisted
in 12th Bat., OH Light Artillery and discharged one year later. He died
on 30 May 1907 at New London, Huron co, OH a widower as Philena had died
09 December 1899 at New London, OH.
