Silas Stevens ⁸ BIGELOW

16313.335 Silas Stevens ⁸ BIGELOW, son of Elisha ⁷ ( Timothy ⁶, Amasa ⁵ , David ⁴ , Lt. John ³ , Joshua ², John ¹), and Abigail Rice (CRANE) BIGELOW, was born at Brookfield, Orange co., VT on 01 December 1823 and married on 31 August 1849 Zeruiah S. Morse. She was daughter of Daniel Morse and born at Jay, Oxford co, ME on 10 May 1828. Silas became the principal of the Geauga Seminary and a teacher there as well with James Garfield and his wife, Lucretia Rudolph, as two of his pupils. These two later occupied the White House. Silas later moved to Sanford, FL and then into OH where he died on 15 February 1902 at Cleveland (see below).

Rod, I am Roger Bigelow My dad was Harry Bigelow born in Thomson Ohio in 1900 of, Arther and Emma, He then moved to Canton around 1922 and Married Thelma Volzer. My sister Dorothy born 1923 and I was born in 1935. He had a brother George who remained in Thomson and had a son Arthur, a sister Verna who married Harry Cox in Canton, Ohio
