Emerson John 9 BIGELOW

1592C.1525      Emerson John 9 BIGELOW, son of John Emerson 8 (Ebenezer 7 , Ebenezer 6 ,  Amasa 5 , Isaac 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John1)  and  Hannah (BLENKHORN) BIGELOW, was born 24 June 1872, Canning, Kings co, NS.  His marriage was on 24 June 1903 to Grace Harriett Patriquin. She was born 16 September 1877 Wolfville, NS, the daughter of James G. and Matilda (Pick) Patriquin. Emerson was a building contractor in Saskatoon Sask., businessman and farmer. Emerson and Grace lived in Canning, NS where he was a Grocer, In 1935 they lived in Thochu, Alberta when their daughter Lois Grace married G.Albert Mattson. They had three children.  Emerson was a Building contractor in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, a businessman and farmer. Grace was an Elocutionist reader and Home Maker. Emerson died 04 January 1942 at Wimborne, Alberta. Grace also died in Wimborne, Alberta on 12 March 1937.(see below)

No children listed. Alan was a Private in the British Army W.W.I, a farmer and Civil Servant and Businessman.

Note:
FORGE, Jan 2000, Vol 29, No.1. The two brothers farmed near Wimborne, Alberta,Canada.  Mitchener arrived there April 10, 1910 and Emerson 1919 and they farmed together for 23 years.  The two families were always together at Christmas and New Year's.  Living only a half mile apart, the children played together and went to Collingwood School together. etc.......see article and picture of David James bigelow on 80th birthday 16 Oct 1999.
