15337.9922      Homer Wesley 9 BIGELOW, son of Vernon Gaylor 8 ( Perry Dorrance 7 , Cornelius 6 , Noah 5, Cornelius 4, Samuel 3, Samuel 2, John 1)  and Mary (PULLEN) BIGELOW, was born 23 June 1916 Grand Rapids Kent co, MI. He married on 24 October 1942 Madonna Rose Bird in Grand Rapids. (See Anniversary) She was born 07 December 1923, the dau of Leo T. and Madonna (Lamphear) Bird. In 1987 at the funeral of his mother, they were listed as Wes and Madonna of Ada. Madonna Rose died 03 January 2007 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan.  She is buried at the Oakwood Cemetery, Lowell, Kent County, MI. (obit below) . Homer died 03 November 2002, also buried at Oakwood Cemetery.

BIGELOW - Madonna Rose (Bird) Bigelow, aged 83, of Ada, passed away January 3rd, 2007.  She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Wesley Bigelow, daughter, Susan Gessler, son-in-law, Ray Quada, great grandson, Cody Harrall.
   She is survived by her children, Madonna Mary (Jack) Harrall, Nancy (Dan) Fansher, Beverly "Babs" Quada, Cinday (Bruce) Boyce, Rose (Randy) Maxim and Penny (Marc) Bullerman; son-in-law, Jerry Gessler; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one very special granddog, Shelby; brothers, Ed (Arlene) Bird and Gerry (Pat) Bird; sister-in-law, Ann Bird; several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 8th at the First United Methodist Church of Lowell, 621 East Main Street.  Rev. Vance Dimmick, officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 7th, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Renucci Hospitality House, 100 Michigan NE, MC 172, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.  "Groth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. On Oct. 24, H. Wesley and Madonna Bigelow of Ada, will celebrate 40 years of marriage. A party will be held at 6 p.m, Oct. 23 at Tri-Town Conservation Club, 5679 Dunn NE in Lowell. Their children are Jack and Mary Harrall, Jerry and Susie Gessler, Jim and Nancy Clinger, Babs Johnson, Bruce and Cindy Boyce, Rose Bigelow and Penny Bigelow.
The Bigelows have 10 grandchildren.
