Note 05/04/08:
My records show that the parents of Garnet Wolsey Bigelow are Matthew Bigelow and Richardena (Lonsdale) Bigelow.  Everyone called her Dean as a nickname.  Matthew Bigelow's parents were Charles Bigelow and Nancy (Lonsdale) Bigelow.  Richardena's parents were Archibald Lonsdale and Anne (Bigelow) Lonsdale.
 
The Bigelows, Lonsdales, and Mason (Masson) familys all resided in the Glen Almond area of Quebec, just outside of Buckingham.  As a child, I spent time there on my uncles farm, Lionel Garnet Bigelow.  Lionel has passed away.  His son, David may still be alive and if he had sons, the Bigelow name on this particular branch would still be going.

Great page. I have found much information on my Mother-in-law, Lila Leclair's ancestors, daughter of Elizabeth Mallish and Norman Leclair (see link). By the way, Margaret Bigelow and Edward Mallish had some children that where not mentioned in your page. Beside Elizabeth Mallish mentioned above, and Louisa, Rhoda, Mima and Stanley, there was Nellie (Robert Donaldson), Ethel (Allen Smith), Betsy or Betty (? Parent), and Victor Mallish.
Now, I need some help on my father-in-law Frank (Franklin) Bigelow. He is the son of Thomas Arthur Bigelow and Ruby Smith. Frank's siblings are: Evelyn, Dorothy, Kenneth, Reginald, Lezetta and Henry.
 
Frank's father, Thomas Arthur Bigelow (1897-1953) siblings are: Earl, Garnet, Archie, Wellington, Noble, Ella (Walter McGarry), Verna (Alton Bourne), and Mamie (Charles McGee).
Frank's Mother, Ruby Smith siblings are: Gladys (Earl Bigelow, brother of Thomas mentioned above), Ethel (Jack Devine), Lorne, Pearly (Male), William. Some of the spelling may be off.
Thomas Arthur Bigelow's father was Mat (Probably Matthew) Bigelow, married to Dean (Spelling?) Lonsdale. He possibly died around 1930.

Thomas Bigelow Obituary:
     E-mail from Lois Martin (loal@telus.net), Quebec Representative for Bigelow Society, with obituary of a son, Kenneth:  Of Buckingham, Quebec, in hospital on Friday,August 18, 2000 at the age of 74.  He was beloved husband of Jean Brown and son of the late Thomas Arthur and Ruby (Smith) Bigelow.  He was father of Carroll (Ian Langlands) of Carleton Place, Ruby Bigelow, Velvet Bigelow (Raynald Rochon) Richard, Gail and christine, all of Buckingham, Quebec.  He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren.  He was brother of Franklin (Lila) Dorothy, Henry and Reginald (Jean) Bigelow.  He was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn and Lizetta.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 21 at St. John in the Wilderness Church on River road in L'Ange-Gardien followed by interment in the parish cemetery.  Family and friends may pay their respects at the Cadieux Funeral Home on sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday starting at 9 am.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
