15923.2371      Russel ⁹ BIGELOW, son of  William Irwin ⁸ ( Russel ⁷ , Russell ⁶ , Isaac ⁵ , Isaac ⁴, Isaac ³, Samuel ², John ¹ ) and Jane (Lytle) BIGELOW, was born 25 March 1857, Knoxville, IA.  He married Florence Rankin on 15 December 1881 at Edgerton, Johnson co, KS by her uncle Rev. John N. Rankin. (See family, Vol.IV of Messer Book) Russel died 27 July 1901 at Johnson co., KS and buried in Gardner. Wife Florence was born 22 April 1859 Dade co, MO, the dau of David Vance and Nancy Foster (Caldwell) Rankin. Florence died 06 February 1944 at Gardner, Johnson co, KS, and buried there as well.
