Calvin Jerome 7 BIGELOW

16314.42      Calvin Jerome 7 BIGELOW, son of  Ira 6  ( Ezra 5 , David 4, Lt. John 3, Joshua 2, John 1)  and Rachel (ALLEN) BIGELOW, was born at Colchester, New London, CT on 06 January 1786. Sarah "Sally" Hall, daughter of Seth Hall of Geneseo, NY, "was 16" when married to Calvin in 1805 (1806). Her birth state is given as CT. This family lived in Livingston county from 1807 to 1845 when they moved to Van Buren county, MI. Sarah died near Bangor, Van Buren, MI on 03 October 1855 and Calvin died on 08 February 1866 at the home of his son Calvin, jr, in Arlington, Van Buren, MI; (. Sarah and Calvin are buried at Bangor. (according to gravestone he died age 80 yr, 1 mo, 2 dys).

From censuses, we determine the children of Calvin and Sarah (Hall) Bigelow, all born Livingston, NY, to be:

16314.423     Sarah, b 13 Aug 1810; d 16 Feb 1880 (ae 69 yr, 3 mos, 17 dys); m ____ Wright (1988 info from Dorothy Spencer; this is a possible ID).

16314.424t    Polly, b______ 1812; d 08 June 1879 Arlington, Van Buren, MI; m Sylvester Meacham; they lived in OH between 1845 and 1850; 10 children.

16314.425t    Calvin Jerome, jr., b 15 Sept 1814; d 11 Sept 1878 Arlington, Van Buren. MI; m 08 Jan 1840 Margaret Eckler; res. Niagara county, NY some years; 7 children.

16314.426     a child, b ca 1817.

16314.427     a child, b ca 1818; of this child and the one a year older, one was a female, one a male

16314.428t    Rufus, b______ 1820 NY; d 17 June 1892 Arlington; m (1) 12 March 1852 Lucinda Harris age 17, m (2) 25 Feb 1855 Charlotte Harrison; 7 children.

16314.429     a son, b ca 1822 this could possibly be Rufus (above).

16314.42A     a daughter, b ca 1825.

16314.42Bt    Samuel , b 20 April 1827 Avon, Livingston, NY; d 1901 Arlington, Van Buren, MI; m 23 Jan 1853 Eunice Meacham; 6 children.

16314.42C     Russell, b ca 1830.

16314.42D     Eliza M., b ca 1833; d _____ ; m 05 Mar 1855 John D. Combs at Van Buren co, MI;
