Rod,
After leaving NY, William resided in Medina, Dane County WI
apparently for
the remainder of his life. He shows up in 1870 living
in
his mother's household with his siblings. In 1880 he is living
with his brothers
Thaddeus and Gouverneur. In 1900 he is living with his
brother
Thaddeus and his family and in 1910 he is head of household and
neice and
nephews are living with him. He never married and died some
time after
the 1910 census.

I have found William L Gott in census records 1850 onward married
to Edna
Jane. Edna is of same age as noted in the Bigelow Society
records.
However, the link above shows a Edna Jane with same birth year and
age married
to a Dr. William B Gott.
The Edna Jane & William L can be found in Worcester Otsego
County NY
census records through 1880. The census records clearly
indicate a
Jane
Edna belongs to a William L.
Although I have added the children of the parents I have found in
the census
records I do not feel certain enough with the information to
share
since I cannot be conclusive.

strick[e]n with appoplexy last Friday evening while sitting in

and lived most of her life in this town. The funeral services
were held Tuesday afternoon from her late residence, Rev. T. P.
Morgan officiating. The remains were interred at East
