THE HAFF (HOFF) FAMILY

This is the research I have started on the HAFF family. My paternal grandmother was Pearl Eleanor HOFF. She married John Helmer BIGELOW. See that link for information on them and son, Roger Lynn BIGELOW, my father. For now, I will Start with Pearl HOFF's parents and work back. A bit of lore deals with the name HOFF. Orson was born Orson HAFF and named his children HAFF, but his daughter Florence seemed to prefer the name HOFF and so the rest of the siblings accepted it. There was some animosity over this, and it took a time for acceptance. My grandmother's wedding announcement in 1904 used the family name HAFF.

This is the old homestead of Orson and Addie (HALL) HOFF.
Early 1896-7, appears to be Addie in the doorway, Florence sitting
and Pearl standing , and Everett in high-chair

This is the headstone of Orson and Addie (HALL) HOFF.
