Mary 5 BIGELOW


15183.   Mary 5 BIGELOW, third child and first daughter of Gershom 4 (John 3,Samuel 2, John1) and Mary (HOW) BIGELOW , was born in Marlborough, Middlesex county, MA, 10 October 1746. She married on 28 May 1767 at Marlborough, Artemas HOWE, son of Joseph and Ruth (BRIGHAM) HOWE. He was born in Marlborough 15 January 1743. They lived their entire lives in Marlborough, he dying 15 October 1810, she on 17 November 1813.

15183.5    Lydia Howe, b 09 Sept 1775; d _____ ; m (1)21 July 1803 Isaac Maynard by whom 2 children. Isaac d and she m (2) 1828 Abraham Stowe, his second wife. Children by Isaac Maynard:
           a. Amory Maynard, b 28 Feb 1804; m Mary Priest; lived in what is now the town of Maynard, MA. He was founder of the town, and of the woolen rnills at that place, and the town named for him.
           b. Lydia Maynard, b 16 Nov 1805; m Joel Wilkins of Marlborough, MA.

15183.6    Sally Howe, b 5 Feb 1777; d ; m 28 Mar 1801 her sister's widower, Jonas Lovering, his second wife.

15183.7    Stephen Howe, b 21 Mar 1780; m 29 Jan 1809 Susanna Brigham, daughter of Lewis Brigham and a sister of Hon. Asa Brigham, who was formerly Treasurer of the Republic of Texas previous to annexation to the United States. 7 children:

Florence Edna Howe, the daughter, and her mother, Ann Maria Bigelow, played the piano/organ at an amusement center in Worcester. It is believed to be the skating rink owned by Horace Holly Bigelow, Leander's brother.
