There is a mountain, along the west side of Lake Champlain, called "Bigelow Mountain" that is supposedly named for
Nathan.
This Bigelow Mountain was probably named after Artis Bigelow, who had a farm on the north side of Mt.

Correction:
I'm updating again. Joseph (6) Bigelow #16164.9 on his fathers page, Nathan (5) Bigelow #16164 states he was a resident of Westford, New York.
On Joseph's own page it says that he moved to Westport, New York.
Which is correct? I could not find a Westford nor a Westport on the atlas for New York. Jean Bigelow- Historian
Westport is in Essex county, NY and about 20-25 miles north of Crown Point on Lake Champlain. This location appears to be correct....ROD
