New Note 03/18/07:
I was reading through the website tonight and saw a section where you were writing and someone mentioned whether you knew Nettie Eva Bigelow Winters.  That was my great-grandmother who passed away in May of 1967.  Do you still need any information about her or my Bigelow connections, particularly those tied with the Colburns and Wrights in Hollis?
Let me know and I'll see if I can help.  My great-grandmother Nettie Winters started working on our genealogy in 1954; my great-aunt Harriet Winters Peterson took it over when Grandma Winters couldn't do it anymore; my mother took over from her and my mother is still going strong, but not being computer literate, she enlisted my aid about 10 years ago.  I'm a City Clerk and don't have much spare time, but am trying to help her solve some mysteries - mostly in our Winters side - while she's still with us.  Planning to go to the Boston/Watertown/Plymouth/Hollis area on vacation this summer to check it all out in person.  Glad to see this website is still going strong.  I can't recall if the large oil portrait my mother has is Reuben Miles Bigelow or Bishop Perkins Bigelow.  Now that I have a decent digital camera, I'm hoping to get a photograph of it and get some of the other Bigelow pictures labeled and scanned. I have Sarah Margartet's portrait - Bishop Perkins Bigelow's daughter who died at age 10. I love the photographs - they bring these stories to life.

Descendant note:
I think I'm getting in over my head here. I didn't mean to give the impression I am descended from any Bigelows. A cousin was  working on Wright DAR records when she e-mailed the following.
She knew I had many ancestors from Allegan, MI. and was making me aware that descendants of hers and my common ancestor Joshua Wright of Hollis, NH had migrated to Allegan, MI.
So this is what started all this.
Dear Marilyn:
What a coincidence - did you know about this lady?
