After 1846, this family resided in Grand Rapids, MI and he died there on
06 March 1888. This person was probably named after the well known
Stephen Decatur who lived between 1779-1820, (The U. S. Navy rank of Commodore
was last used in World War II and rated between a Captain and a Rear Admiral).
