BIGELOW, son of Joshua 6

Joshua 4 , Eleazer 3, Joshua2, John1) and Sarah
(GRIFFITHS) BIGELOW, was born at Utica, Oneida co, NY on 31
December 1822. His marriage was in February 1849 to Henrietta Maria Bigelow,
(15599.44), the daughter of Uriah
and Henrietta (Barney) Bigelow. She was born 01 October
1825. There is a conflict in her birth place - one record states
Worcester, Otsego, NY while another states Utica, Oneida, NY - (see
pages 272 and 361 The Bigelow Family Genealogy, Vol. I). She died
one month after marriage and he married (2) on 15 October 1854 Mary
Whipple. She was bom on 15 April 1828 at Utica. Joshua was a
Homeopathic Physician, graduating from the Pennsylvania College of
Homeopathic Medicine at Phildadelphia, 1851. He practiced in
Syracuse, NY until 1864 when he moved to De Land, FL and died there
on 01 December 1885. His widow died 12 May 1890 (aged 62) Syracuse,
Onondaga County, New York.
