Mercy 7 BIGELOW

16314.12     Mercy 7 Bigelow, dau of Ezra 6 (Ezra 5 , David 4, Lt. John 3, Joshua 2, John 1) BIGELOW and Rachel (WHEELER) BIGELOW, was born at Manchester, Bennington, VT on 03 September 1786 and married  on 02 February 1809 at Bennington, Isaac Rice. He was born on 14 February 1785 and died on 24 February 1873. Mercy had died earlier, on 22 May 1863. Both died in Bennington.

Under Mercy (7) Bigelow who married Isaac Rice you listed as first child, Fanny F., b. 14 Jan 1810 in Bennington, VT and died 18 Sept,  1893, MI, m. 18 Sept 1831 ______Carpenter.  That caught my attention because Fanny is my grgrandmother who married Truman Carpenter, b. 2 July 1811, son of Eli Carpenter and Julia (Crary), all of Bennington, VT .  I have been looking for her parents.  The dates fit my findings from her tombstone (she was Fannie there).  Was the source of all your information from the Isaac Rice bible, including her place of death and the date of her marriage?  I ask because she had been living in Portage Co, WI since the early 1850's and she was buried in the Badger Cem., Portage Co., WI, so I wondered about the MI location for her death.  I've been looking for the date of their marriage as it is not listed in the VT Vitals.  Do you or anyone have any more about her father, Isaac Rice of Bennington, VT?  Also did I understand your source for the Rice bible was the Dau. of the American Rev Library?
