Alfred Earl 8 BIGELOW

16314.449      Alfred Earl 8 BIGELOW, son of Julius 7 ( Ira 6  , Ezra 5 , David 4, Lt. John 3, Joshua 2, John 1)  and Philena (DAYTON) BIGELOW, was born 04 April 1830 near LeRoy, Genesee co., NY.  He was married 09 January 1855 (1856?) (see note2) in Chickasaw co, IA to Adeline "Bird" Smith.  She was born 16 July 1836 at Hancock, Delaware co., NY.  They lived all their adult lives at New Hampton, Chickasaw co, IA, where Alfred was a banker.  He died there 30 March 1914 and Adeline on 22 June 1915.

"Forge" vol.27, No.1, January 1998, page 18, listed a death for Donald Earl Bigelow (11th generation) Sr. (16314.44981.8, age 69 of Costa Mesa, CA, a retail salesperson, died 1 Sep 1997 of congestive heart failure.  He was born 21 May 1928 in Bassett, Chickasaw co., IA and married Gloria Steubans, d/o Vernon and Elsie Steubans on 12 Aug 1946.  He is survived by his wife, Gloria, a daughter, Elsie Bigelow-Maurizi; a son, Donald Jr.; five sisters and brothers; and five grandchildren.

Note:  Alfred Earl Bigelow is listed in Vol.2 of the Bigelow Family Genealogy, page 500 but is listed with only 6 children, so the .4498l.8 leaves a question of who the descendant was.

I am looking for the children's names of Julius Bigelow b. 1793 in Colchester Ct. who married Philena Dayton.  Julius is the son of Ira Bigelow and Rachel Allen of Colchester, New London, Ct.  Julius and Philena are said to have had 13 children.  They moved from the east to Kenosha, Wisconsin and then to Chickasaw County, Iowa.  Any help would be appreciated.
