 Descendant note:
I just ran across your site(s) on the Internet.  I had no
idea that the Bigelow family had such a large following!
Like most serious Bigelow genealogists, I have also seen
G.B.Howe's book, as well as the other very large one (I'm sorry, I
forgot the author, but you probably know the book).  In it is
listed one of my ancestors, which is how I came to know of my long
and illustrious heritage.  Apparently, however, no one knows
of this connection but me!  Here is my ancestry:
James Maurice Baker (b.11-24-1978), son of Barry James Baker
      (b.7-8-1944), son of
Maurice Cleo Baker & Marian Ruth Quick (1921-1996), daughter
      of
Howard Francis Quick & Gladys Florence Post, daughter of
Will Joel Post & Effie Mae Curtis, daughter of
Lyman Thompson Curtis & Florence Adelaide 8
Bigelow, only daughter of Alva 7 Bigelow
      & Sophia Chatfield.
Both of these last two had moved from NY.  Alva was a
      son of  Jairus 6 Bigelow ( Bond 5 , Elisha 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John1) Biglo  &
      Mary Warren).
I know that this is not strictly BIGELOW genealogy, but I thought
you may like to know.  I do not desire to join the Bigelow
Society at this time (I am a student at Albion College at this
time; coincidentally where the society was founded, correct?), but
I may in the future.  Thank you for your time, and thank you
      for your web page!
      Sincerely,   Jim Baker
