16A54.31    Artemas 7 BIGELOW, son of Hopestill 6 ( Samuel 5, Hopestill 4 , Ebenezer 3, Joshua2, John1), and Charlotte (BATES) BIGELOW, was born 04 July 1818 Penn Yan, Yates co, NY. When a youngster, his parents moved westward and settled in Steuben co., NY.  Artemas married on 11 July 1843 Elizabeth Shattuck, she was born 05 March 1820, and died 05 Feb 1905. This family resided in Killingsworth, CT.  Artemas died 23 November 1901. Both buried Oak Hill Cemetery.

16A54.313      Artemas Herbert, b 23 Dec 1854 Newark, Essex County, NJ; d 07 Sep 1937 Somerville, Somerset County, NJ; m 1892 Cornelia Burhans;
